How does Logic SpamCatcher™ Spam Scoring work?

Logic SpamCatcher™ scans all mail messages that pass through and gives each message a score based on the likelihood of the message being spam or not. The default setting of Logic SpamCatcher™ is to reject all messages that have a score of 7 or higher.

Is there anything else that Logic SpamCatcher™ does to prevent Spam in addition to scoring each message?

In addition to scoring messages, Logic SpamCatcher™also performs what is known as Intention Analysis. Intention Analysis attempts to match URLs in a message against an hourly updated database of URLs known for sending spam. Intention Analysis blocks messages that contain such URLs and significantly reduces the amount of spam that is received.

What is the Blocked Email Addresses and Domains List (Blacklist)?

Entering specific email addresses or entire domains will prevent ALL messages from those listed to be detained in your Quarantine Inbox.

What if I prefer to receive junk email?

You can also access the Quarantine Inbox at any time.

What if Logic SpamCatcher™ directs legitimate email to the Quarantine Inbox?

It is possible that some legitimate email may be erroneously directed to your Quarantine Inbox. This is due to the subjective nature of email messages and what could possibly be considered junk email. If a significant amount of valid email is being misdirected to the Quarantine Inbox, Logic SpamCatcher™ can be used to build a list of approved senders, thereby minimizing the possibility of detaining a valid email in the future. To do this, log in and enter the Quarantine Inbox. Click "Deliver" for any legitimate email and Logic SpamCatcher™. You may also click on “Whitelist” to add the sender of any email to your Allowed Email Addresses and Domains List (Whitelist). Next time, messages from that sender will not be detaine.
